Credits

Mission Career College measures academic progression in quarter units of credit. One-quarter unit of credit is equivalent to 10 clock hours of classroom instruction, 20 hours of laboratory is equal to 1 credit and 30 hours of externship is equal to 1 credit unit. A clock hour is one class period of approximately 60 minutes in length. 50 minutes of lecture, demonstration, faculty-supervised laboratory, or similar learning activity takes place, and 10 minutes are given for a break.
